I've said it before, and I will say it again (and again): dogs make everything better! Elise & Michael are dog lovers, just like myself, so we had to include their pup in our engagement session! We chose Great Falls Park in Maryland as the backdrop for their outdoorsy yet classic engagement session.

Great Falls Park is a beautiful nature backdrop for adventurous, outdoorsy couples looking to get a little dirty at their engagement session. There are multiple spots for photos, the most popular being a beach with access to the Potomac. It's the perfect spot to play around in the water, have a picnic, and climb on the rocks. If you choose this spot as your engagement session location, remember to bring a towel and a pair of sandals!

Something to keep in mind is that Great Falls Park extends across the Potomac, so you can access the park from both the Virginia and the Maryland sides. In my opinion, the Maryland side has much better views and is a preferred choice for an engagement session location. The Virginia side is perfect for hiking and rock climbing, so it's worth a visit!
